KVEC Has Moved
The original KVEC.us site has been retired.
But our mission is stronger than ever—join us at our new official hub:
We are continuing the fight for accountability, transparency, and safety within the Keokuk Volunteer Emergency Corps. This isn’t just about a domain name — it’s about a mission to restore the community’s trust in a life-saving organization that’s been misled for too long.
Under the current leadership of Dan Tillman and his wife Angie Tillman, KVEC has suffered severe operational decline. What once was a dependable service is now seen as unreliable, slow, and politically corrupted. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office had to secure their own rescue boat because KVEC had become so delayed in responding to emergencies that search and rescue calls turned into search and recovery operations.
The Tillmans have turned the organization into a fiefdom, prioritizing control over service. Citizens are starting to fear calling 911 — not because they don’t want help, but because they no longer trust that help will come from KVEC in time. It’s not just shameful — it’s dangerous.
This community deserves better. Lives are on the line. If you’re reading this, you can help turn the tide. You can speak out. You can demand better. Start now:
